Token safety checklist: check a CA before you buy

The 10-point checklist

• Right contract: Copy the CA from the project's own X/Telegram/website, not from a reply or DM. Scam copies use the same name and ticker.
• Mint authority revoked: If someone can still mint, they can create unlimited new tokens and dump them.
• Freeze authority revoked: If it is active, the creator can freeze your tokens so you cannot sell.
• Dev holdings: How much the creator wallet still holds. A large share can be sold on you at any time.
• Top-10 holders: The share held by the ten largest wallets, excluding the liquidity pool. High concentration means a few sellers can crash the price.
• Bundled wallets: Wallets that bought in the same block at launch, often one person. Check what share they still hold.
• Holder clusters: Top holders funded from the same source are probably one owner.
• Liquidity: Thin liquidity means high price impact on your buy and sell. Compare the pool size with your trade size.
• Can you sell?: On EVM chains, a honeypot check simulates a sell. On any chain, test-sell a tiny amount first.
• Size: Even if every box is ticked, the token can still go to zero. Only use money you can lose.

What the checks cannot tell you

A clean report does not make a token safe. Creators can sell tokens they hold in fresh wallets, liquidity can be pulled on some venues, and hype can end in minutes. Plan your exit before you buy.
